Busy day modding...

Featured Replies

Evening guys,

Had a busy day today wiring car for a sub, voice control for Columbus, relocating parking buzzer to b pillar.

First of the amp wiring took me best part of the day I ran power and switched wire from engine bay through grommets which comes out in passengers footwell then down side of car to the boot.

In the process of doing the above I fitted a line out converter to give me speaker RCA. Also removed cd changer and cage to make way for a small ish sub.

Next was the voice control, I managed to get a mic of eBay very cheap so just need a loom with connectors thanks to Eddie-NL for the loom and connectors.

Whilst doing all the above I decided to move my aftermarket parking buzzer to the b pillar so it would be hidden, this didn't work out as it just wasn't loud enough so I mouthed speaker to plastic section on the roof above rear headrests. Now it's very loud

All I need now is to find my infinity bass ink active sub so I can check the wiring to rear is all good. I found a very good fused switch in fuse box and wired in the remote lead with a spade connector.

Pictures to follow 2moro

Excellent. Some pictures of the routes used when wiring the amp in would be really appreciated. I'm thinking of upgrading my system later on in the year.

Well car is back together but I can pm you guidance when your ready. It's easy enough just a mission getting from rear seats in to boot behind carpet. Pretty easy to get wires to engine bay,

I went from inside to out this ment i only needed to remove passenger footwell padding using just my fingers. I then cello taped amp power wire aremote wire to a thick screwdriver and put a holevin grommet. Once pierced I removed screwdriver whisk pushing wires through grommet. After this I was able to see wires in engine bay behind fusebox and battery it was tight but managed to get enough access to wires to pull them up with out removing anything.

After this I just wired down side of car under plastics.

Good thing is the is a ground terminal waiting with one groused wire on under carpet where cd changer is on the boot floor
