There's a multi-pin socket (in a rather tasteful pink, actually) I've just discovered above the bonnet release lever.

Is this supposed to have a cover? If so, wonder where on earth mine's got to (I've had the car from new).

its the plug for the vag-com cable for vcds.

it doesn't have a cover.
