Octi vRS juddering

Featured Replies

Whilst sat in traffic over the bank holiday I started to hear a very loud screaching noise then the whole car started to judder. The only way to make the noise quieter and stop the car from juddering as much was to press the clutch pedal down, as soon as I lifted the pedal the noise and juddering started again.

I left the car idling on my drive when I got home, no other traffic around but still very warm outside, and after a couple of minutes it started to do it agian. I tried the same test today, dull, misty and cool and it doesn't do it no matter how long it is left idling for.

Could there be something wrong with the clutch? The car only has only done 23,000 miles and is on the variable servicing. I have spoken to the skoda garage I purchased it from earlier this year but they were very unhelpful and didn't seem interested in me taking it back for them to check.

If you only bought it earlier this year then surely it must have come with some sort of warranty ? I would try the dealer again, or is there another one nearby that could help ?
