Hi and help!

Featured Replies

Just got myself an 02 1.8 turbo Octavia and am begining to wonder if I have made a mistake :(

The seats are crippling me and now the car stalls every morning as I try to drive off. Even out of gear it idles roughly and stalls. When I restart the engine it runs fine

Anyone else had this?

Welcome! I have the 1.8 turbo in the vRS. Did have some problems like you mentioned.Just took it back to the dealer.Think it was something to do with the turbo. It was all done under warranty and car has been right as rain.

I find the seats fine.In fact it's the first time I have loved a car more every day and that is after 14 months of ownership :D

Get back to the garage and get it sorted.Probably something really minor :)

Cheers, it is still under warranty, will get them to have a look at it.

Welcome to Briskoda. :) Have you tried adjusting your seat up and down to try and find the right combination of backrest angle and seat cushion angle, and have you discovered the lumbar support adjustment too - assuming that you have those options?

Took me a while to get used to the seats i nthe 4x4 and the vRS...I vary them though depending on how, what and where I'm driving.

I guess if you have any back issues then extra care is required as I do. Some positions while great for my driving position, I find crippling for more than an hour at a time. Others are very comfortable, but not I'm not really comfortable mentally when pushing on.

Thanks for the warm welcome :)

I have tried adjusting the seat height, lumber support etc but I have not got comfy yet. It feels like I am driving along with a foot in my back, even with the lumbar support at minimum.
