pd160

Featured Replies

Am i correct in thinking the pd160 engine that seat use is the same as the pd130 in the fabia vrs. Except the 160 has the seat sport fmic and a different engine map?

And a better turbo (and injectors)?

Would you be able to just plug the seat ecu with the 160 map into fabia?

Not an expert, but not without changing either:

  • the keys/locks for those off the Ibiza (if they fit)
  • or the imobilser to match the Fabia key.

Even then I'm not 100% it would work! Sure someone who knows more will pop up soon.

And a better turbo (and injectors)?

Turbo is the GT1749vb found on the PD150

Injectors are the same.

Turbo is a vb but slightly different to a pd150 vb. pd160 runs 1.55bar, pd150 runs 1.5.

if you go on turbo dynamics site you will notice a hybrid pd160 is more than a hybrid pd150.

Injectors are the same as a fabia pd130 as long as its the same emission engine type. Later pd130/160 have smaller nozzels to the earlier engines. You can see this in the mapping as the duration maps are slightly longer.

For the ecu, you will need to make sure it matches your injectors and possibly EGR system. But as long as you have the secret key code you can used VCDS to pair it to your cluster.

PD150/160 use stronger head bolts. Not sure of any other changes apart from the FMIC.

You'll be better of just having your current ecu mapped.

Yeah am thinking that. Thought it might be simple.
