Heater Temperature Control Skoda Fabia Diesel

Hello, I am looking at a friend's 2002 Fabia SDI diesel estate with a heater problem. It has had a Parrot hands-free device fitted last week and since then it won't blow hot air as the fitter had disturbed the rod that comes from the temp control to the heater air mix flap.

The quality of the Parrot installation is somewhat below standard for a pro' job and the fitter had left the black plastic threaded worm part in the glove box, so he must have known that he'd done something wrong.

Also, the wiring and large blue Parrot control box were just stuffed/trapped behind the glove box...

To get to the point, my question is, that I think that it may be missing a small part as when I reassembled the rod with the black plastic threaded part in place, it doesn't seem secure (as though it may fall in bits again) and the flap won't move to the either fully hot or fully cold fully no matter how I position the mechanism.

Nothing appears to be damaged.

Does anyone have a diagram of the relevant assembly so I can see if anything's missing? Thanks, Ian.

PS the car also has numerous other minor electrical issues since the Parrot was fit, (no instrument lights, no charge light, blowing fuses etc.) so I don't want this person any where near this car again if at all possible.
