More light....

Featured Replies

Bought two pairs of Ring +120% Xenon bulbs (H1 and H7), from auto bulbs direct.

Oh yes, these work quite well, very pleased with the results. Will give them a proper run tomorrow as doing 140 miles, mostly in the dark.

Also bought a couple of pairs of silver indicator bulbs, not expensive, remove the 'fried egg' effect, but still flash a nice bright orange. Given the car is silver, as well as the headlights, well worth the few quid. Will do the back tomorrow. Shame we can't get silver rear-clusters and appropriate silver bulbs. :( Think they'd look quite good with the FL/vRS rear bumper.

how much did you pay for them got mine for £17.49 for h7 form motorworld they do make a difference i am well pleased with them emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Ah, bit late now, paid £30 for the H7s and £27 for the H1s (£10 for 4 silver PY21Ws)

I'll lookup Motorworld when these ones pop ;)

My merc failed an MOT once because of silver bulbs, apparently they were too orange! lol

I can also vouch for these - paid £20 and the light is a little whiter and clearer while the throw of the light remains the same.

As for indicators, I have fit the Osram Diadems on the front, and dont want to do the back as the cover has not yet been perforated...

(Yes Im OCD about screen stickers etc)

I have Silverstars in all indicators, mine is also silver and is monochrome at the front (apart from the vRS badge). Looks smart I think. But I have xenons.

Aldi have a bulb kit for sale from 9th Feb. Don't know if any good but £5.99.

Well sods law the other halfords bulb went last night so a grand total of 15 days use, so fitted the other spare I had

Is there any long lasting H7 bulbs out there that give good lighting,

Oh and I need to move the near side aim up a bit how do you do this

If you have a recipt take them back for a refund they should last more than 15 days!

In short: yes. You can't get a replacement or refund without handing the duff ones back.
