Complete suspension Refresh

Featured Replies

As per title, When funds allow I would like to completely refresh the suspension on my Octi. I am a bit anal about knocks and bangs in the car and my Octi has a few lol. Now the car has done 110K so nothing out of the ordinary for the mileage really. As soon as I bought the car I had the front arb bushes and drop links replaced to cure a nasty knock from the front, now these were replaced with standard parts not poly ones. Also an uprated DogBone mount was fitted. Would you guys be able to put a list together for all the bits I should look at replacing/uprading and in your opinion with what. Obviously I know about shocks and springs but thinking more about what other bushes, bearing etc.

Thanks

Howard

My god man, Koni FSD's are well expensive just had a quick search and at least £480, why did you chose these over wietec coilovers?

So what sort of money am I looking at spending on parts on all of the above except springs and shocks?

Cheers for the info Steve. I've added them to my watch list on ebay. Would the LCR strut top mount and bearings be a worth while upgrade over the standard Octi ones?

My lcr ones for my previous lcr cost around £75 for seat and I haven't really noticed any difference in them! If you don't intend on tracking your car I wouldn't bother.

on the passenger side of the car just next to the arb bolts iirc.

edit: just found a photo courtesy of bowers1 (hope you don't mind) its the purple bush just behind the gaitor.
