.... that changing the thermostat was such a b*!~d job. Just spent all afternoon freezing my arse doing this job on my x-reg Fabia 1.4 Comfort as I was getting very litle heat out of the heater. Haynes seems to indicate very good access but the battery and assorted cabling is in the way. Had to detach the hose at the radiator end. So cold and ****ed off I couldn't work out which was the temperature sensor and clip so bled the system with the tank lid off. Anyone else done this job? Worthwhile paying someone else to do it. OK, rant over.

PS Job well done as car is now toasty warm.

I love those Haynes spanner ratings.... 1 spanner for actually changing the thermostat... Haha and 5 spanners to take alll the rest of the stuff out the way so you can get to it.
