9 inch wide borbets on the rear!

Featured Replies

i have just got a lovely set of borbet deep dish wheels for the wifes fabia, the rears are 9 inches wide and i want to slam it on coilovers next week but the 9 inchers look as if they are going to catch like mad.... is anyone else running wheels this wide on a lowered fabia?? what mods have been done in the past to take wheels this wide?? any help would be much appreciated!

gonna need to stretch the tires quite alot i recon

like 195's . . gonna have alot of poke tho.

i plan on running 8.5 rears in the summer,id like to know how ya get on :-)

and maby a bit of negative camber to get the lip away from the arch a bit. . but then you end up with uneven tire ware.

If they are high offset (eg ET45) they might not catch the arch and hopefully won't catch the strut. Be prepared for the worst :D

they do catch the arch when i hit dips in the road and speed bumps, there is enough room round the struts. think it has 205/ 45 on the rears just now, only a little stretched.. did not think the camber could be altered on the rear.... if it can that will make life a lot easier!
