abs light wont go off....

Featured Replies

my abs light came on.. i plugged it in to my diagnostic doo dah it gave me a fault code for the rear right abs sensor.. i bought a new one for £50 off ebay replaced it before and the light stayed on so i reset the light with my diagnostic machine but it still comes back on giving the same code.. any suggestions people????

Probably a wheel bearing, but could also be a wiring issue or ECU.

put new wheels on it yesterday and would have noticed a bearing with play in it.. i will assume the bearing has some sort of abs sensor built into it? am new to skodas and have not seen anything with that kind of setup yet...

Doesn't have to have play in it but yes the pick up is part of the wheel bearing.

What's the fault code?

The bearing/hub unit is one piece and contains the bearing, hub flange, abs reluctor ring.........if there is dirt on the ring or the air gap between the reluctor and the sensor varies then this could cause a fault code.....but as said before what is the fault code that is coming up?????...

Have you tried the fuse? My ESP light wouldn't go off and it was the 5amp fuse...
