Coming up to 2 full seasons with them on and the fronts are getting a little low (Avon Ice Touring ST). Are the 'useful life' levels on Winters the same as Summers or do they need replacing earlier than you would a summer?

The sipes disappear at 4mm so you loose the snow performance advantage, not sure when the rubber becomes less beneficial over summers as most people sell them on (to the uninformed Brit's ) when they get close to 4mm.

I still have all the sipes on mine at the moment.....I will leave until they start to diminish then or they get to the wear bars....

Gizmo is right. 4mm and time to replace.
