Scout - Quick Questions

Featured Replies

Recent got a 57 plate Scout.

The manual in the glove box says Skoda Octavia Owners Manual - no mention of 'Scout' in the manual at all. Is this the correct manual?

No direct mention of '4 x 4' function in the manual.

It does refer to EPS (TCS, ABS, EDL) though.

Thanks

Since the Scout is little more than a trim level, not a new model, I'd say your manual is correct. And as there's nothing you can really do with the 4x4 function, it doesn't really need mentioning in the manual IMO. You can't turn it off (short of pulling a fuse which isn't a Skoda-approved method and therefore not really part of the manual), you can't change its behaviour, it's just there :)

Thanks very much for the replies.

In the manual, as they go into a fair amount of detail of the Electronic Differential Lock (EDS), and

how it operates, it seems a bit strange to make no mention at all of the 4 wheel drive.
