vRS 60k Service

Featured Replies

Whilst at the main dealer today in Stoke-on-trent i priced up my service due in march the car is a 2006 petrol Octavia vRS and as previously been serviced by Skoda main dealers each year car is currently on about 54k and its the service requiring plugs etc, been quoted £216 for the service plus i think it was £54 for the M.o.t which i won't pay so will be going elsewhere for that , mates garage is only £30 , really want car serviced by main agent (a) for the service book stamp/gen parts etc and re-sale , (B) car still got 5 months warranty so just incase should need to claim will be better with full dealer history, anyone else think the service price seems ok as this is first Skoda owned , any help appreciated Thanks

I think it might be a little expensive, not excessive though. What are you getting for that: oil, oilf filter, plugs, pollen filter and labour? Anything else? The pollen filter costs about £7 on ebay but the dealer might be charging you £20 for that alone. You could provide your own oil etc etc.

I took my service book with me and the Skoda service sheets to confirm all parts needed and service type and its the service with plugs plus usual oil and all filters , visual checks etc , the service manager is on hol this week so going phone back next monday after i've shopped around for some prices after all the main dealers are usually keen to keep work coming there way .
