Service package

Featured Replies

Called into the dealers today to book the car in for it's 1st service. When I mentioned I took out the service package, which was included in my monthly payments, they informed me I have no record of it. When they suggested it at the time, I went for it as Feb is usually a bad month what with Xmas, SWMBO birthday , road tax and insurance it's something I don't have to worry about trying to get the money for it. Been and check documents and can't see anything on the finance agreement. Just list monthly repayments, etc. is it usually listed on the documents or do it comes on a separate document. Thanks for any help

They get a record of it sent to them - I checked with my dealer and had no paperwork but was on the system. However, I took out finance to get the 3 years servicing so it came free (ish). It works out in my favour in the end - APR costs vs Service Cost.

I believe it should come seperately and taken as a seperate payment each month

I not received any separate documents from vw finance. When I mentioned this to service department they told me they don't send out a separate document. Apparently vw finance get in touch either by post or a call. Told them I not got a problem with paying for the service but disappointed that they pushed the product and I agreed to have it and now I found out that i haven't got it. Out of curiously is the service plan taken out as a separate direct debit or as one payment in the monthly finance payment? Well they going to speak to the sales person who I dealt with and we see what happens on Thursday when the cars in for a service

Update. Well they forgot to set up the service package but they knocked off 50 quid of the service as goodwill gesture and have said I can take out the £299 service offer up until 4 months.

Oops. Meant to say 4 months before next service

If you took out the finance package which had the free servicing offer clearly stated in its promotional material, then this should be honoured. Do you have any of the brochures etc from when you bought the car?

At the time of purchase the free servicing wasn't available. Only the service deal as a monthly payment which I thought was in the monthly payments
