Exhaust pressure sensor fault!

How would u know if ur dpf is completely gone? I really hope mine is fine,iv only had the dpf light come on twice in 3 weeks but both times the engine light came on too,

I'm just looking at the printout I got from the main dealer and the fault says : exhaust pressure sensor "A" range /performance (short circuit to B+ intermittent)

The frequency count tho was 81. And driving cycle was 40.

The ash content of the dpf can be measured with vcds,the new sensor needs to be adapted before the engine is run or it will take on the default value of the old faulty one.

What is vcds? In Ireland only main dealers have vag computer ;(

Hi,

VCDS is a diagnostic program that you can run on a laptop that is very close to the program that main dealers use, I beleive there a supplier in Dublin that sells it.
