If you hold the phone button (roller on left hand side) on the steering wheel, voice activation is enabled and you can simple say the name of anybody in your phone book and it calls them

I'm ashamed to say I spent the last year scrolling through the phone book when required....

Sorry for being a ludite but i am assuming you have had to have already recorded a voice name on your phone?

No! That's the best part and that's why it's called "voice recognition". Having to pre-record your entire phonebook would make it useless I think. To give an example, since my mother language is not English, I have some names which are not english words, and would make absolutely no sense to an English speaking person. But If I read them out more like the English way, then surprisingly the system finds the correct contact most of the times.

No buttons on the right side of the wheel. And I like it tbh, with all those buttons there is no space to have your hands on without pressing some s%&^.

It's also intelligent enough to offer up suggestions...

For some reason when I say mum it also shows up home and displays the two as selectable on the maxidot screen...
