Ebay brakes

Featured Replies

Waste of cash, drilled and grooved are better suited to the track.

Stick with pagid discs and pads and you can't go wrong

If your going to buy them, take time to pre paint the centres and edges, otherwise a few months later they look rusty and crap.... not that i learned the hard way :wonder:

Had them on mine can't fault em. Although mine were from crn

Don't bother with grooved ones. They are noisy and wear pads out quicker.

Get the OE pagid ones from euro car parts or ebay. They have the anti corrosive coating too so they won't go rusty.

Had some ebc ones once and the grooves wore out before the cheap pads lol

:giggle: wont rush for them then, what kind of paint do you use for the edge, any high temp stuff is it?

Hammerite works a treat, although it will go brittle over time!

I got the mintex set on mine (albeit not the grooved ones) and they were great.

Mintex brake box or something.. Very good set imo, never tried pagit etc though

Mine were neither noisy or pants worked just fine

I have the padgid set up on mine and they have warped in about 6months!

Have been told the gsf discs are better and made by brembo. I just want something that is going to work well when I hit those anchors.

Double post sorry, chuffing iPhones

a nice brake kit would be nice but i cant see it emoticon-0106-crying.gif

Bought plain cheap ebay discs once, never again because:

1) gets rusty within days of driving;

2) wearing unevenly (brakes literally look like an audio vinyl)

3) noisy as hell and breaking distance was unacceptable.

4) were quite worn after ~7 months and even started warping so got replaced.

got myself set of pagids and can drive safely again.

what's the point in having 312 brakes if you are fitting crappy stuff? :)

What he said!

Beware or the mintex sets on ebay. I've had one before, sold as mintex pads and discs, but it was only the pads that were mintex. The discs were some cheap chinese pig iron of sommat and lasted about 2 months before warping.

When you're fitting the discs, make sure you proberly clean the hubs too. Get them looking shiny, so there's nothing to make the disc runout at all.

Worth checking your local TPS. I got my rear discs from them and they were cheaper than ECP!
