Had a bit of an odd one with my vRS last night. Seemed to be a loss of power after about 3k RPM. DSG felt completely different and was changing at different points, hitting far higher revs before changing but guess that is to be expected. Odd thing was there were no error messages or lights.

Called Skoda Assist this morning and predictably car was working fine when the mechanic took it for a test drive. Computer picked up no fault codes so not much he could do. Recommended I take it to the dealers for an update and a closer look.

Have done a search and other people with turbo problems seem to get error codes and a more terminal problem. Anyone had anything similar happen to them?

Sounds similar to my problems, did it loose power then seem to pick up after a hesitant few seconds? Have a look at my thread- Still have my misfire- Any thoughts?

Had a look at your thread but don’t think it is the same. The loss of power was constant for the whole journey, not just hesitant for a few seconds. Not had any misfires on mine yet and today its good as gold…

Ahh right I thought it was a momentary loss of power. Could be a boost leak but it would be like that all the time, hope you get it sorted.

I had this for about a 2 minute spell driving home one night when my car was almost new. I put the foot down but it almost didn't accelerate. Certainly wasn't with the launch that I usually expected. Albeit I left it to see if it re-occured and i've never had it again. Was very strange though! Hopefully this one doesn't come back for you either!
