Heated washer jets?

Featured Replies

I did read when i first bought mine they would already be heated. Turned out not to be when i renewed them. :(

Sent while trying to smuggle de cat into house.

Two wires, one to earth and one to a power supply. The question is, how would you switch the power supply? They work by having a small resistive disc inside them, if you have them on permanently the disc could burn out. You could use a standard 4 pin relay fed with a constant live and then use a connection from the heated rear window switch to switch the relay so that they operate only when the heated rear window is on and switch off when it switches off. Obviously you'll need to use a fused relay or fit a fuse in the power supply. I doubt that the wiring will be there.

I've got a heated front screen and washer jets on my Ford, the screen and jets are on a 5 to 10 minute timer.
