Change of gear knob

Featured Replies

Afternoon all :)

Can anyone tell me if there is an OEM gear knob and gaiter that fits a Octy RS FL without having to remove the gaiter? I followed a guide on here that uses a Audi S line knob that required removing from the gaiter and reattching to the Octy gaiter so it would fit. I followed all the instructions and ended up with DEstructions instead!! Whilst trying to sperate the the parts i broke one of the white prongs on the gear knob that hold it in place and now its no use!!! Dont want to buy another one and end up doing the same thing!!!

Any ideas folks? Am looking for something along the lines of an S line knob!!

Cheers

Kit :)

I dont want an Audi!..Been there done that!!..Just want something like an S line or momo race air leather that will be a straight swap or without too much jiggering about!

I'm not sure you can without getting out the hacksaw to be honest. I think it's the way the clips work. I had similar issue in the past on other cars and in every case it ended up as a compromise solution.

Surely there must be something across the whole VAG range that will be a straight swap!!?

OUCH -£60!!

The Forge knob is designed for VAG cars.............and is a darn sight better engineered and has higher material value than a boggo Octy one.

Jaysus that thing is horrific!!! Think il just buy another S line one and try and be more carefull seperating the knob from the gaiter this time!! It was only 30 euro for a genuine VAG part via Czech republic!!

I have a Sparco one on my Vrs. I love it, not sure it will be to everyones tastes though. Can get better pics on weekend.
