Servicing Costs

Featured Replies

Hi All

I'm sure that this has been asked before but the search function isn't coming up with anything so...

Servicing costs for my 11 superb? Been quoted £240 for my first service at 16k. Is this fair as seems high for basically an oil change, filter and screenwash etc.

Also what else is carried out on this service?

Dreading when a major service comes up!!!!

Thank you

no more than £100 me thinks. my son had his toyota avensis serviced plus oil and filter by toyota for £99 including a wash and they collected and retuned the car.

Prices range from £110-£300 for the same service at different main dealers. I presume you are on a variable service schedule?

You need to ring as many dealers that are within travelling distance and ask for their best price, they usually budge a but if you ask nicely.

I got it down from £220 to £110 for an hours phone work.

Good luck

It would be interesting to know what the dealers get paid by Skoda/VW Finance for the service if the car is covered with free or prepaid servicing

Make sure that you do not get PD oil instead of long life if you have a diesel because at such a low price I suspect that oil is the biggest cost factor.

My superb is on a Skoda service plan.

£299 for 2 services, 2 MOTS, a brake fluid change and a fuel/oil/air filter.

It's a MY2008 170dsg Elegance.

Surely the cheapest main dealer service cost around. I bought the package when I paid for the car in October.

It's only anygood if on time and distance servicing which I changed the car onto when I got it. Not a fan of going upto 2 years without a service.

Dealers are crying out for busines! £230 plus for a first service is a rip off. I understand longlife oil is expensive but it is a quick job for a trained technician. Shop around and play dealers off against each other, it's cut throat out there.
