I'm just about to order 1.6 TDI 105 Monte Carlo in Anthracite.

My options are:

Amundesen Sat Nav

Climate Control

BT Phone Prep

Spare Wheel

I did want the multi function wheel but for some strange reason it's not available on the monte carlo, nevermind. I have a question about the Maxi-dot computer, someone has told me it comes standard when you add the sat nav as the directions are displayed on the maxi dot??? One of the brochures I have list the "Amundsen" satellite navigation system and maxi-dot as one option. The other list them as two seperate options.

Any ideas as i'm getting conflicting information.

I believe they come together (someone will correct me if I'm wrong!)

I ordered the same car (different extras) around a month ago.

Usually the Maxidot and Amundsen come together, but for some reason on the Monte they're individual purchases. So if you want both you have to add both - at cost! Disappointing, as I'm getting the Maxidot and would get the Sat Nav if it was £300 extra, but I can't justify the extra £430.

There was a forum member who ordered a monte with sat nav and thought itI came with maxidot but when they got the car it didn't have it. I'm pretty sure it's two separate items.

Hmmm, it seems to be a mystery, a bit like the MFW..... My order form states Sat Nav with Maxi Dot but there is only one charge. I don't remember the maxi being selected when they ordered it on the system though. I had better double check that.

They/I did manage to add the steering wheel to the order without it erroring by add the option PGC (i have know idea what that mean though) I have asked if they can double check for me.

Thanks for the replies, just don't want the car to turn up with the wrong options, I would not be happy.

Am I right in thinking that if you have maxi dot and the sat nav the route directions are displayed on the maxi dot?? So if the maxi dot is missing then you miss a big feature of the nav?

Maxi dot may well come with the amunsden but will definately come with the blue tooth prep. I'm picking up a monte tomorrow with bluetooth and i know it has the maxidot as i saw the car last week at the dealers when it arrived.

Did they specifically add maxi dot to the order?? As in was it listed in your options on the order (did you pay the £100ish pounds fOr it)

Don't really know, needed anothe car quickly and the Monte i am picking up tomorrow was available on Skoda's UK list of unassigned cars. However, i did check to make sure and had the showroom manager running around for a while as they have a 105 Monte in the showroom and they hadn't added in the extra cost of the maxidot which is fitted to it. When they checked though they came back to say that with bluetooth fitted it comes as standard.

To be clear, if you order a Monte with Bluetooth you will get the Maxidot. The Amunsden system will not get Maxidot, if you dont have BT you need to order it seperatly.

In my opnion its a must have. The Nav directions are displayed on t, but more over you can control the audio form the stalk which with no MFSW available is a bonus. Also, it looks much nicer and has far more functionality than the standard dash.

According to the brochure, and as mentioned above, the MFSW is not available as an option on the Monte Carlo but I have seen a few with it fitted. However, any I have seen have all had the grey interior with grey stitching on the steering wheel, handbrake grip and gear lever gator.

Does anyone have a MFSW on their Monte Carlo? If so, how did you manage to specify it when ordering the car and is it on a grey or a red interior?

Likewise seen one or two advertised approved used with the MFSW but as stated not with the red stitching or 'sport' perforated leather. Also noted that when you select red interior on the configuration MFSW comes up as an option :wonder:

Did not opt for the maxidot, or MFSW for our MC order; have them on the current 2010 Elegance and they get little used, plus the Fabia set-up is a poor relation to the system on our Yeti. Would have liked to have the proper temp and fuel gauges but couldn't justify the notible extra cost for the higher level dash.
