Felicia - driving light problem

Featured Replies

Evening all,

I have a bit of a strange problem with my 1997 Skoda Felicia.

The car fires up & runs absolutely fine.

Dipped head lights & full beam 'flash' operate fine.

Rear lights operate fine.

BUT:

Driving head lights do not operate.

Full beam 'on' does not operate.

Rear fog light does not operate.

In addition:

The temperature blower has blown a fuse a number of times.

I tried cleaning the battery terminals & also what looks to be three Earth connectors by the suspension turret.

First of all this got the full beam 'on' & rear fog light working!

So I tried giving it a bit more of a clean & then they stopped working again...

All the fuse look ok & the dashboard is illuminating the correct lamps.

I've also tried changing the actual switch, still no dice.

I haven't checked the battery yet... simply because the car is firing up spot on.

Could this be an Earthing issue?

Can anybody advise the other Earthing points on the car?

This is my very first problem with the car, it has been absolutely spot on!

I really appreciate any help you can offer.

could be the fuse box or bad bulbs
