Diesel Filter housing

Featured Replies

I have a 2005 Octavia TDI 1.9. The top of the diesel filter housing has rusted to the point where it has become slightly pourous. I am loathed to cough up over a ton for a complete Diesel filter housing for what is a blatenly obvious design fault. Does anyone know where I can get either a used or new Diesel filter top cover or even a complete used filter housing?

Take a photo, then have a rummage around your nearest friendly auto wrecker's stock of skoda, vw and audi wrecks.

Try V DUBS in Willington Quay, 5 mins from Heworth metro station

FWIW, I put a coat of kurust on the top of the housing when I noticed that water was building up and causing surface rust.

It obviously dealt with any rust there, but the important bit was the hard coat that seems to stop or slow the rusting.
