Does anyone know which Diverter Valve is fitted in a 2.0 TSI

Featured Replies

think Im losing boost somewhere at the moment on my VRS and my first thought is the DV, does anyone know whats fitted to an 2011 2.0 TSI VRS?

Same as the TFSi in the turbo itself, I think though all the TSI engines have the modified piston type in them anyhow, not has any of them fail as yet personally.

It's not the same DV though.

I took mine off (2011 vRS) and it is a revision C which is a smaller piston than the revision D for the TFSi which i was quite surprised at.

06H 145 710 D - TFSi

06H 145 710 C - TSi with a smaller piston.

I'm assuming this is due to the IHI turbo on EA888 CCZA engine is physically smaller than the K03s of the TFSi.

I don't know if the TFSi one fits though as i've not tried.

Ahh thanks for that info, but it is still a piston one rather than the earlier type that used to split.

Very strange, my 2007 tfsi came with the C rev. I thought it went rev B, C and later D and G in that order with the G being fitted to the TSI until very recently when they changed to the rev D that the S3 uses.

hmm interesting that its smaller, I wonder will the Revision D valve fit?

I have the Torque app for my android, can anyone tell me what OBD figures would be the best to confirm a boost leak? ( obviously apart from just MAP boost )

Your 2007 car will have been a 06F 145 710 C which was the diaphragm type (same was fitted to my 2007 vRS). It went revision C, G in those. G was still diaphragm type. Then the prefix changed to 06H and became revision D and piston type.

This new one is a 06H 145 710 C which is a Piston Type

Ahh that would explain it :)

I've said this for a while some TSI's came with the diaphram type no one ever believes me lol.
