Fabia 1.9 TDI 2008 engine freeze. Plllll HELP

Featured Replies

Hi, can someone please advise me what to do. My car was working just fine. until yesterday when I try to start everything seems to be normal but does not start ( No self/engine dose not rotate) . the vehicle has done just 20000km. everything in the display seems fine, when the ignition is switched on all the lights go on normally. And I am able to hear the fuel pumped from the tank. The turbo valve opening and thermo starter switch sound. Once the heater light goes off in a few seconds at first the key swings there is no movement. And if I do it the second time the key gets stuck mid-way. The battery is new and the display lights do not blink. I tried both the keys and dose not start

Last work carried out

1) The ac pipe had a leak and it was fixed. But still it doesn’t work since the ac mec guy suggested there should be a outside sensor near the front bumper and the wire seems to be cut without the sensor the AC condenser fan wouldn’t work at High speed /low speed. And so not the use the AC unless it is fixed. And I kept it switched off.

2) LH drive shaft outer boot was to be replaced and so dropped in to my friends garage and the outer boot was replaced for almost an hour the vehicle was jack lifted on the LH side and once the work was done. Wanted to adjust the gear shifter the engine was keep running for about five minutes and gear 1 and R was set and the took back the vehicle home and parked it 5 minutes after it did not start. Everything seems to be normal lights, audio, tepm is in blue, oil is normal, battery is normal.

Note; the clutch pedal press start option is disabled in my vehicle but still dint had any problem with that. The inspect service indication is always turned on from 17000km but got is serviced and still is on. Pl HELP……

Hi, sorry to hear of these problems.

Is there any engagement from the starter motor at all? Is the fuse for it OK?

Sounds like battery. It might be new, but did you check the charge? Have you tried jump starting it just in case?

Try bump/push starting it. Does that work?

If it does, then check to see if you get a voltage on the solenoid wire to the starter (the thin one).
