have octy tyres got to be XL emoticon-0124-worried.gif

im lost in my tyres and theres options on some with XL and some not ???

ive also found prices of some tyres and they dont state XL ???

The octy needs 205/50/R17 tyres with a load index of 89. Doesn't need to be XL rated either.

so anything 89 or above then is fine yeah, xl or no not xl emoticon-0143-smirk.gif

cheers bud

Yep, anything 89 or higher is fine.

Higher rated rubber, especially xl rated stuff will make the ride a bit harder as the rubber is tougher.

XL only if your car is a van

Edited by IulianE

Not only if its a van. my passage had them as standard

I use xl on the octy, quite a heavy car plus I like to think xl is tougher lol

I have XL's on the back of mine. Certainly hasn't had any adverse effects and on a trip to the continent having a full car with beer, fuel, people and camping gear it meant i was certainly feeling safer about them! Must have been about 400kgs of extra kit!

So depends if you want to do that I guess or can be bothered to stump up the extra cash. :)
