1st March Owners Club

Featured Replies

SO for all those who picked up your cars on the first of March, how's it going after one month? Any mods, problems, how many miles have you now put on the clock.

ME myself have put 3000 miles on, 1000 of those were in the first week of ownership. Have changed the Head Unit to an Alpine 9835 and now have a Bently cigarette liter which I got from a supplier at work. :D

Would like to remap the ECU and change the suspension etc etc. But I'd like to keep my warrenty in tact more, so i guess I'll have to wait.

I too do lots of miles done 3758 in first month, seems to be loosening up a lot now and seem quicker off the mark. Just gone thru the pain of finding or not suitable oil but Oilman is sorting me out.

1600 miles on mine (admittedly not quite 1st of March, ended up being mid-March).

The car is loosening up, and for sure it pulls through the rev-range a lot nicer. Brakes are finally getting better too...

I collected mine on the first of March (three years ago mind), 43K miles later and still :D

I've done around 2050 miles so far & am definitely noticing the car is more eager to pull away now. So much so that I left a cloud of tyre-smoke behind me from a set of lights yesterday. Completely by accident, btw! I was a little heavy-footed.... :o

No real mods so far but have a Blaupunkt DAB54 HU & a Road Angel 2. Nearly had tints done, but Elephant wouldn't insure me so I'm waiting til I change in August. Aside from that, need to save up some more pennies before doing anything else :P

Overall I'm incredibly happy with the car & can't think of anything to complain abaout so far

It's been very good, MPG is improving, revving more freely, and it's gonna have a bit of a DiamondBrite treatment in the near future too ;)

Cannot afford much more anyway

So far 904 miles, all totally pointless trips, but just cant stop my self from driving it, (have works van, so no trips to work). mpg is an average of 45, so quite pleased, had an 04 plate 1.9 Tdi before and was getting about 52, (only had 4850 miles on it before I chopped it in).

As for mods, well splashed out on Sunday, fitted a new bic pen, colour black, like the car, to the nice little pen holder in the glove box

modifications, well beat that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My average so far is 39.7mpg over 700 miles. I'm not disappointed as it has been driven fairly briskly (trying to run it, but its too easy to drive fast!). i hope it gets a little more economical though. I'd be really chuffed with 45mpg this early on in its life :)

My computer is sitting at 44.8 right now after 1800ish miles without a reset (2100 total). Pretty good considering I spend a lot of time in stop-start traffic to & from work, then the rest of the time booting it all over the place :)

Averaging 47.8mpg after 630 miles so far, which is pretty good. Car is a 2.0 tdi estate
