ABS & Traction Control light at start

Featured Replies

Morning All

I've seen a post mentioning something about this a little while ago, but can't find it now.

When I start my car first thing in the morning, and seems worse on cold days, I get both the ABS and traction control light come one for a second or so.

I am beginning to think that the battery of glows might be getting old, it doesn't catch and run like it does when it's warm or the weather is better.

Can anyone confirm what the official meaning of this light combo is?

Tom

The lights can be a result of a whole bunch of different faults.

You need to scan the car with VAGCOM or a fault reader.

Also worth checking the voltage of the battery.
