Front end "drift"

Featured Replies

Need to have the front end checked on the Fabia :(

The last few days I have an issue with the OSF front "breaking away" sooner than normal when making progress through the corners. NSF is fine and grips as I have come to expect.

It could just be a placeabo but the ASR seems to kick in a lot too of late (similar time frame)

I have already checked tyres (tread & pressure) and they're fine.

Any thoughts? ARB Bushes? Tracking out?

Puzzled :S

I suspect worn bushes.

Tracking I wouldn't think likely, unless you're noticing other symptoms like wandering in a straight line.

.......other symptoms like wandering in a straight line.

Usually only after Cider :giggle:

I have had similar issues recently so I changed all the bushes for Superpro and it hasnt really solved a great deal, next thing I am going to change is the dampers.

Yeah bushes, had a similar thing on my old A4 where it would drift slightly when going in a straight line. Quick check revlealed nothing, got it up on a ramp, and it was a bush just starting to go, my friendly MOT tester even said that it would have passed no problems!

Ball joints?

Having similar problem with mine at the moment but that's because

it's wearing its winter shoes and it's too warm for them (plus they are narrower)

Ball joints?

no need for that!!!!

he's only asking for advice! :D
