Hi people, right before I set out this morning I checked my oil and it was a little low. So popped to halfrauds and had a little look for a ltr bottle of oil, couldn't find one and asked as you do!! The guy told me to use 505.00 VW approved oil..... So I did as just needed a little top up, now I've been told by my friend not too, I only used 1/4 of the bottle so this shouldn't harm the engine should it?

250ml isn't going to kill your engine!

Assuming you have a diesel?

For future reference, You need either 505.01 or 507.00.

If you've a VW or Skoda dealer close to you, Pop in the parts dept and buy a 1l bottle from them, Should cost £12 at most!
