An Englishman abroad

Featured Replies

Hello all, I've recently got into the Skoda scene and I'm looking to buy a new car by the end of the year, so saving like mad at the moment. I live in Poland, where Skoda is the number one, and has been for many years. All this means that Skoda's are a lot cheaper than in the UK! Here in Poland there is an annual winter offer too, which knocks even more off the price. I'm looking to buy either a Fabia 1.2 TSI or an Octavia 1.2 TSI. I've driven an Octavia 1.9Tdi for a couple of years and more recently an Octavia 2.0Tdi, which is new but not my car, unfortunately. I've never driven a Fabia or a vehicle with the TSI engine. So any advice is well appreciated.

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hello polanglo and welcome along

Hearing conflicting views about whether to buy a 1.2tsi or a 1.6 tdi...could anyone tell me what rpm the engine is doing at 70 and 80mph in top gear. I hear the Fabia has 5 gears and the Octavia has 6, is that right? I just don't want to buy a car that is screaming at 3500rpm on the motorway.
