Gearstick Badge

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've tried searching but can't find the answer anywhere so, how easy/difficult is it to change the vRS badge on the gearstick??

John.

I haven't actually done this on the Fabia yet (although it is peeling already :notme: ) I would very gently use a small flat blade screwdriver at the bottom and begin to prize it off but making sure you pull it upwards as you do. I think the tabs are slotted inserts that just push into vertical locating holes if you follow me?

This is where I bought my replacement from.

You may want to wait for someone to confirm this before trying it just in case though know different.

Cheers.

I've ordered a replacement as well, just waiting for it to arrive, so that might give me a clue about how they're attached. :)

When I changed mine, the old one was simply stuck on with what seemed to be double sided tape. It came off easy enough aswell.

That's a bit pricey for a sticker! I wan't to change mine, it's gone a bit mankey, but not at that price lol.

Agreed it is a tad on the dear side.

New badge came yesterday and is more than just a sticker. It comes on plastic with clips on the bottom. Tried to take my old one off last night but just the silver badge came off without the plastic, so took a small screwdriver to it this morning and gently lifted the plastic up and unclipped it. Clipped the new one in and looks great without having bits of the top missing.

Will post pictures in my pictures thread. :)

Easiest way with stickers on plastic/paint is to warm them first. Cloth soaked in v hot water (mind your hands) is recommended.

The gearstick badge isn't a sticker, it's plastic.
