Just writing a quick thank you post to Alistair & his college (really sorry, didn’t catch your name) who replaced my clutch today on my VRS.

Only replaced the clutch & the slave cylinder as the flywheel was ok - most other garages would change it to get more £££££.

Anyway, car feels great & it pulls a lot more smoothly now, really pleased with the service, the workmanship & of course - the price!!

I recommend them to anyone.

Alistair at Unit 18 did me a full 312mm front brake upgrade, all parts, labour, vat and fresh green spray of capilers. Plus he fitted my cupra r splitter for olky extra £8. All in £225

I did ask for a price for a cambelt ,a few months ,back . Very pleasant surprise . Then I looked at how far( only 80 odd miles, but on old oil??) ,and when the oil had been changed ,and the fact that it'd sat still for almost 12 months( making that oil almost two year old),and it'd be mostly on M6/M1?? . But ,my thanks to Ali , for his response . He might be pleased to see that I did get a hefty discount from local dealer ,by telling them his price . ( Service manager went a whiter shade of pale).

And I post on other forums, with VAG sections, passing on this website, and if the poster is looking for someone to do some work - try to pass on their URL .

going up on monday for my cambelt and for them to look over the girlfriends MR2. After the service I got when they swapped my gearbox I'm more than happy to travel 2+ hours to them.
