Fan selector problems

Featured Replies

I'm having some problems with my fan selector, all speeds work fine, so I don't think it's the usual resistor.

It's the fan selector that I'm having trouble with. Seems to be stuck on footwell ventilation. I'll spin it to direct to vents or screen but it won't make a difference.

Is there a common part prone to failure that I should be pursuing?

It could be that the cable has come off the back of the control.

cable?

The air distribution flap is controlled by means of a mechanical cable.

OK, what's needed for removal to check this?

Fixed!

The cable had come off car side when I was doing my sound install last week.

Thanks
