Thought it was about time I introduce myself properly... Been hovering around the Superb sub-forums these last few weeks.

But I've just bought a 2004 (54) Superb Elegance 1.9 TDi today... well, left a £200 deposit and they're delivering it on Monday.

It's not mint, but it's not a shed either... a decent motor in decent enough condition.... although I shall be repairing bits of trim for months to come I think.

So... I'm Gav, I live in East Northants close to the Beds/Cambs borders and this will be my first Skoda, and only my 2nd diesel in 21yrs of driving. It's gonna be a shock as I'm used to V6 sports cars, but I need a car large enough to accommodate my folks in comfort as they're pensioners now, and my dad is disabled and needs a wheelchair... So the Superb fits the bill perfectly with the mahoosive boot and rear legroom.

I shall no doubt be compiling a list of trim bits that need repair or replacing... glove box, centre ashtray and rear air vents all spring to mind instantly.

Oh... the umbrella is there and looks like it's never been used... score.
