Replace or upgrade?

Featured Replies

My rear disc's and pad's are coming up to the end of their life and I was wondering if I should replace the pad's and disc's for mintex stuff at a price of £45 or put that to upgrading the rear to 256? I already have 312 fronts.

I know the rear upgrade isn't going to be dirt cheap to do but how much is it roughly going to cost for calipers, discs and pads?

I was looking into this last week and if I remember correctly there is a guy on ebay does the kits with refurbed calipers for £285

I'm guessing your on about GBAutomotive? I got my 312mm fronts and 256mm rear calipers from him, all freshly refurbished, I can def recommend him.

I can too, just taken delivery of mine from him also. Very helpful indeed

Ok its not worth the extra coin then until a caliper gives up. I will replace pads and discs. Thanks for the help guys.

Keep an eye on ebay in the meantime, I paid about £100 for mine.

What were they off Octy?

Erm, golf I think, they were just plain silver. Not sure which, maybe the anni`s come with them? I think anything with 312`s had them so they are fairly common.
