I'm glad the Panda joke is out of the way quickly, thanks for the advice too :) I was intending to use Tesco Momentum, that seems to be a good choice, as for the oil, I'll wait and see...

nice motor will it be on a 12 plate

Thank you, yes it will be a 12 plate. I ordered it in August last year, with an expected delivery date of February - I thought I may as well hang on until March before getting it registered.

looks good, the black pack suits the white colour

and I agree with "drive it normally" don't baby it ;) mine was bouncing off the 7k rev limiter at 14 miles, (that did happen on the first slip road I came to, I didn't rag it to death though, just drove 'normally' using full throttle and full revs if needed, most of a "normal" drive is gentle anyway , but the odd thrash to "seat" the moving parts ect is good for it :) ) and I'm one of the few people on here who don't have any oil consumption at all! ;)

+100% don't rag it, just use all the gears with a little heavier right foot after a couple of 100 miles on it, and oil consumption will greatly diminish , most of all enjoy it

looks nice, ive a white hatch myself :)

as above just drive normally but (sorry if this is obvious to you) watch the new tyres and especially the brakes, 100-200 miles town driving should bed these in nicely

Nice, basically mine but with chrome alloys. I've yet to see another vRS estate let alone a white one. Still loving mine

Looks like mine just with black pack :)

Very nice B)

Stunning mate :)

Enjoy looks good! If I'd have gone down the estate route that's the combo I'd have chosen.

Beautiful car :-) enjoy!

Thanks for all the nice comments and helpful advice - I'll do my best to avoid being too gentle with it - I can hardly wait until I collect it Saturday!

I'll put some more photographs on the Review and Photo thread as soon as possible.

Again, your kindness and compliments are much appreciated.

Andrew

dont nurse it. Used mine as the dealer said i should, dont rag it but use it as normal. Only needed an oil top up just before the 1st service 10,000 miles.

Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine. Got the same car, except black alloys, watch those kerbs!

Wow looks great buddy!

Are those roof rails gloss black?!

if they are they look great, and I didn't know Skoda did that now.

Funny you should ask that, they are gloss black - I wasn't expecting that - I assumed that they would be a matt/satin finish.

Ooooo I want!!! :D

Exactly the same as ours except we've not got the black pack. Watch the wheels though, we've just had to have 4 new dark chromes on ours as they started pitting after only 8.5 months. I suspected they'd be a problem but not so soon!

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on that issue.

pipsyp - mine is the same age as yours, no issues yet... what do you wash it with??

Looks good in white !!

Regarding the running-in/oil guzzling issues.. I didn't exactly hang around from new..mine still uses a fair bit of oil..approx 1L/1500miles,not overly excessive but doesn't seem to be getting any better with age..up to 12k now.
