Hello Everyone

Thinking of fitting a K&N 57i - SKU 57-0618-1 air induction kit to my 2008 Octavia VRS 170 diesel, see below:

My concerns are if the tick over will be adversely affected and whether or not there will be any noticeable gain in bhp / torque...cost of the kit is circa £120.00.

Anyone got any thoughts about doing this or had experiences of fitting K&N kits to this car??

The Typhoon kit is a little too pricey for my budget.

Prepping to do 2.0TSi clutch in future - plenty of time and opportunity as I mentioned recently I have a 1.8T L&K Octy also ! I'd seen a comment at some point someone recommending to change rear main seal whilst you are in there. Something to watch for? Also as below

Hi! I'm in need of some help please. My Octavia estate sat for 8 months unused. The battery went flat (AGM Varta) and doesn't charge. I got the car started with a different battery and then swapped in the dead battery to see if it would start charging. BUT, now the engine was running I needed to move the car a bit and found that the gear stick won't go into reverse gear. It can select 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th but not reverse. I've ordered up a new AGM battery (due in a couple of days) but this reverse

Hi Everyone, I have been investigating how I can replace the decorative trim pieces on the console of the O4 (see attached picture (version I would like). The easy part has been figuring out the general part numbers, however I get stuck on the specifics.
