KW coilovers creaking? Anyone else had this?

Featured Replies

Had my coilovers lowered another 10mm as it was sitting a tad too high, since the front have been making a creaking/spongy noise over bumps.

Backs are all the way down, fronts are 3/4 the way down, fully polybushed. Coilovers and bushes only fitted back in Aug 2011, doing my head in, must have spent £800+ on the suspension alone so far.

I was dealing with a similair problem, turned out it was due to the build up of grit in the ARB bushes (fitted only 4 months ago), solution was too take them off, clean, regrease and out them back on, took about 40 mins, sorted the noise for me, definately worth a look at

mine creak on the rear when i exit the car. don't know why. i don't weight much at all. might blast them with spray grease

For your own good dont spray your coilovers with spray grease all that will happen is all the road dirt and grime will stick to your coilies like glue and seize them up.

:)

thanks for that mate

I have the same creaking problem with mine, when it is on the ground its sitting on the bumpstops. So I'm going to take them off and trim the stopos down.
