Fabia long life servicing?

Featured Replies

Anyone know if its possible now, or will become possible, to have fabias on the flexible 20k service intervals. Every 10k for a car that spends its life on the motorway seems a bit ott

Not in the UK no, it's not something we do.

Why not?

Who knows tbh, the parts are pretty much there.

Maybe they just like a simple service regime for some models.

Or it makes more money for the dealer ?

Yes, it's something we need help with tbh.

Service plans are proving good at returning to workshop but they aren't going to run forever.

ho hum,

well, the car is going to be pretty much worthless after I have done 120,000 miles in three years. No warranty after two.

Shame, that's the last of my shekles the dealer network will see, once the free servicing is done

;)

Wayside Milton Keynes offered me the flexible servicing (15K or 18 months) - I will take it up on the miles I am doing

I'd be suprised, as far as I know they don't run it. I'd double check that if I were you.

An intersting question.

I was reading the Polo GTI end of term report in Evo last night when i noticed that they didn't have the car serviced in the time they had the car despite having covered over 16000 miles due to its variable servicing regime.

So if it is OK for the Polo why not the Fabia?

Exactly.

Skoda UK trying to claw back some cash. A service every 10,000 miles for a modern diesel is ridiculous.

I was told by the salesman I cod have variable servicing when I bought it, I might have thought twice if I'd have known I would have a car stuck in the 1980's

It's just a Skoda choice. Aside from the Exeo SEAT only run fixed servicing on all their cars.
