comparing fab vrs to seat ibiza fr tdi

Featured Replies

swoped my furby vrs 53 model for a new seat ibiza 3dr fr tdi on 01/03. iv'e run it now for nearly 3000 miles and now i'm going to make some comparisons.

firstly the ibiza must have lower gearing than my furby + it must be quite a bit lighter cos it will pull easily in 5th @ 30 mph and accelerates much quicker.

confirmed this when i was doing 70 on the motorway in the furby was 1800 revs in 6th. in the Bezza 2200 revs. the beeza so far is doing more mpg 48 on average compared to 45 in the furby.

quality. there's no doubt about it the furby generaly is better quality.

the dash on the furby is better quality plastic. the furby as more extras as standard. lots of little things. like light in glove box and boot, lights in the doors instead of reflectors. sure the beeza as climate control but thats the only thing it's got extra above the furby.

price wise for me there's not much difference cos i get cash back with the beeza and not with the furby.

looks are up to the individual i think they both look good in their own way.

tuning potential, they should both be the same. i would think the beeza could well be quicker cos of it's less weight, but if they ever bring a 3dr furby out i would deffinately consider going back. the 3dr is much better on my job. (driving instructor)

Glad your enjoying it.Sounds like they are pretty similar and really just down to a question of what you fancy.

Are the pupils treating it nicely ;)

it's standing up so far. there's 1 or 2 rough ones that get me worried though.

The gearbox in the FR TDI will be the same as the one in the Furby post March 2004.
