What to order....

Featured Replies

Visiting a dealer tomorrow. I'm expecting they will be busy with 12 plate pickups, but we will only really be starting the process.

I'm wanting to order a 4x4 170 estate Elegance with some toys. I think I've persuaded myself against the L&K especially now the chrome grille has gone. I'd kind of like TV but it really is a not needed as you can only watch it while parked up which I do rarely.

So anyone got any hints, tips or things I should expect? What options are a must, what should I leave out or maybe fit myself later? If I really wanted, could the TV tuner be fitted later without major trauma like needing new glass with new antennas?

Though I won't be selling it, I'm coming from a Rover 75 connie SE and I've noted there are a few ex 75 owners around. Is there anything you miss about the 75?

For a short while I've been wondering if I shouldn't save a few notes and go for a Yeti, as one of the things I want this for is towing. Go on Superb owners convince me what I should buy, and why.....

Go for a 170cr Elegance 4x4 twindoor and save the vat amount. That's what I did . I fancied the look of the estate but not four and a half grands worth more!!

I have never been pushed for space when loading up the back of the twindoor

25k miles now and such a good car.

Winter tyres on the 4x4 are a must.

10 speaker sound upgrade is worth it.

I think I should have ordered heated screen.

Spare wheel well worth ordering as are mud flaps.

The 170CR and the manual box work really well together.

It's a great load carrier for dogs and human stuff.

I have the electric tailgate which I love.

Phil.

Thanks for the replies.

I agree about winters, I have them on a car this winter and it's so much better in the cold and wet than normal tyres.

I have gone for the heated screen and hope I don;t find it too distracting. Spec'cd a few other things too but not the eletric tailgate. I did go for the 10 speaker as I had it in my lease superb, and I did plump for the 4x4 with the 170. Don't have the dogs yet, but SWMBO is threatening to get one (don't they come in pairs) when she retires in a few weeks time.

I have the heated screen and certainly have not found it distracting, however for a brief moment (couple of seconds) this morning, in direct sunlight, the screen developed a rainboow effect. highlighting the ultra thin wires

I'd much rather have it than not - it is so quick in clearing misted or iced screen.
