One for the 8v, 1.4mpi owners...

Anyone know what size torx bit I need for the engine sump. I bodged it last year and borrowed a large Hex key off a neighbour (since moved so isn't available).

It's not a torx, it's an 8mm Allen key.

Probably explains why the Allen key worked alright last time.

Could have sworn it was star shaped thou?!?

Likely the holes are filled with muck. Make sure you use the correct sized tool, and ensure it is fitted as deep as possible when turning - otherwise you'll just round out the holes. Been there, done that. Muck can make it seem like the correct size tool won't fit. Give a bit of a clean out first, you could use a degreaser spray with a high pressure spray, and give the tool a good push and wiggle to make sure it goes all the way in.

Sound advice.
