Dietz 1212 Help wiring & Gala switch in motion MFD1

Hi can anyone point me in the right direct on how to wire up a Dietz 1212 adaptor and Gala switch so passenger can watch whilst car in motion?

On the dietz 1212 there are 3 screws:-

Ignition

Video On

Ground

I think I run a wire and split/Splice the power that is going into the Headunit (not sure which switched 12v pin on HU to run off) and connect to the ignition screw connection on the 1212.

Do i also splice the ground cable going into the back of the HU and run to the Ground screw connection on 1212?

I believe i dont use the Video on connection????

GALA Switch

Can anyone tell me which pin is the GALA wire that i cut. I believe i just cut it and connect this wire to either side of a switch!!??

Any help much appreciated.

One is the reversable boot floor, carpet one side and a sort of plastic the other. Both items are in great condition too Second is a rear sun screen, it's a mesh material in a metal frame that you clip inside the hatch window, it keeps out a ton of heat and you can take it out for winter, you can't see into the car also. My 280 had tinted side windows but the rear glass was not done. Both are huge and would be prohibitively awkward to post. If you want either you WILL need to come to Swindon.

I have a 12 year old Skoda Octavia mk3 TSI 1.4 with 155000 miles on the clock. It has JUST scraped through its MOT after repeated emissions failures due to carbon buildup. The mechanic has told me he doesn't want to see the car back next year as it won't pass again and cleaning the carbon deposit off wouldn't be worth it given the age and value of the car. I've read a lot about Walnut Blasting to remove carbon buildup. Would it be worth it in my case or is the mechanic right, and I should just

Hoping to purchase a 2.0l TSi Sportline/Laurin & Klement variant at some point soon. My budget may result in me seeking out a vehicle with 95K onwards on the clock. I’ll be only considering something with a full comprehensive service history. My understanding is that I shouldn’t worry about cam chain tensioners as they go on and on. But do they? So is there anything I should really looking out for? Thanks

Hi All, My car has come back from the dealer today after having both the OCU (0311) and Infotainment (1989) updated. On previous versions of infotainment I had the road sign display enabled in the navigation as I don't have the traffic sign recognition feature on the car. I found it quite a useful feature. As the OCU had been updated I had to log back into the car and set myself as primary user, etc. The road sign display was never on by default. However, on 1989 I cannot find any option in th
