I taxed my car on the 28th of Feb and just been out in it and realised I've not put the new tax disc in lol. So 7 days of illegal driving lol.

done that i got pulled once when my disc was still in the post got the whole speech and the DVLA were phoned it was a massive polava and in the end i got i would normally give you a ticket speech!! Load of tosh i cant control the royal mail!

I always do mine over the tinternet. Easier if you have odd days off. I think somewhere it does say your car is taxed even though the tax disc isn't there.

I once bought one, got it out of the package and out of the surround ready to install, put it down, didn't find it until 3 years later it turned up inside the pages of a book I had just finished reading at the time!!

Had to go back and pay 15 quid for a replacement.

Well after 2 hours I finally found it. I searched hi and low and it was no where I thought it would be, then by chance a pulled out the side board and it had fallen down the back. Defo didn't want to have to fork out another £135.

If you buy your tax disc online now, on the last working day of the month ( including Saturday ) you get 5 days without displaying your tax disc before you can get done for failure to display. Just thought I'd add that incase anybody would like to know.
