After the recent bout of faults with the car, got a call from Skoda UK.

They have given me credit of £85 for my troubles. Just give the bill to my dealer with reciept and receive a cheque.

It wasn't just the nice gesture in which it was done, they called me 4 times to catch me.

Big thumbs up to Skoda UK C/S and Border cars Skoda. Impressed.

lucky you i have been waiting two weeks for my dealer to fix my Columbus and still waiting.i am starting to wish i had never bought the bloody thing what with this it also have a vibration coming from the engine at 1500 revs that they dont seem to be able to fix.

and now when the car changes into 5th and 6th it fills like its in too high a gear .

Glad you've had some luck. Skoda Uk are pretty good with problems and if a dealer is acting wrong has no problem about giving them a slap

Both Skoda Customer Service and my purchasing Dealer couldn't have been more helpful.

Customer care? Yes they dealt with my dealer but nothing done that's why I've sold both my fabias

They were really good to us as well, they bought us a full set of genuine sunblinds to say sorry for a problem we had, probably well over £200s worth. Servo assist faIled because a pipe had not been pushed in correctly at the factory.

Years ago when we had an engine go on a Passat we got an autochanger fitted from VW customer services. I think if you are reasonable with them they will be with you, my guess is they have a budget for these kind of gestures.
