...of a dump valve? I saw and EVO VIII yesterday making all the DV noises, but all it seemed to do was slow the car down considerably while changing gear. It was like the guy was driving with one foot on the brake or something. Surely that's not right, 'cos it would seem to make the car SLOWER?

Mainly on cars for scaring old grannies at bus stops I think. :rolleyes: Don't they mean that after every gear change the turbo pressure needs to be built up from scratch again, rather than a recirc where a certain pressure is maintained? :confused:

Theoretically it shouldnt have any performance change, but there may be some for the better because there is no stored pressure in the turbo and it can spool down faster...

Wonder if hes got it installed correctly.... if there is a wrong way lol
