Washing cars.

Featured Replies

It's bloody depressing. Took some time out today as I was all home alone, and went nutter butters on the paintwork.

So many dings, scratches, touch ups... I need a machine polisher, or someone with one! On the bright side, managed to buff out a fair few scratches and odd bits of paint in small dents. A real bummer was finding my first bit of rust...

Anyone else find it disheartening?

I know the location of every imperfection on my car, and it drives me mental. Others might see a "very tidy" or "mint" car, but I see a car that needs 10 hours with a polisher

I'm like that with all my cars though!

You'll hear people saying a car "passes the 6 foot test", i.e. it looks really good from 6 foot away. I'd say my car would easily pass a 3 foot test, but I still know the marks are there!

Bang on... my Civic was in much better shape! There's some really annoying car park dings which had paint in them... the paint's out and they look so much better. Plus some Auto Glym Paint Renovator, and the scratches are getting better... Nowhere near even being a 6 foot car yet haha!

Not a mark on mine

Yep. Since getting Furby, only mark I put on her has been a scape on the rear bumper ,from rear wall of house. I discovered that the brick I'd placed on the drive to let me know I was getting too close had been moved by some little scrote. Add to that ,some teenage lout( I know who he is ,but can't prove it) has keyed one panel . Then we heard a bang on the roof of the house.Thought nothing of it ,then discovered it was the (unused) TV aerial bracket ,and the wires had parted . ( I'd advised landlord years ago to take it down ,as cable had been cut on guttering) .Bracket had come down on bonnet, and now I've got a nice dent on one corner of the bonnet .Needless to say ,I've little chance of the land lord paying out. My compensation will come when the aerial( which he 's been advised about once more,in writing) comes crashing down on the roof of the house .My guestimate is that it will land on the rear ,nowhere near the car .
